In the dusty streets of Paul Roux, Buks barks king. A small white chihuahua who thinks he is as big as a rhinoceros. Buks pitter-patters from house to house, hearing the gossip, and the secrets. He is spoiled with bits of news, as well as bits of treats. Buks is the gateway to the lives of the townspeople. The town is falling apart and everyone lives on the edge of chaos. The characters are distinctive and frighteningly identifiable.
