This documentary tells the story of Doornkraal, a working farm in the Klein Karoo and the steadfast relationship between the land, the horses and the women on horseback who manage the farm.

Instead of providing a complete historical overview, the film uses Doornkraal's 140-year legacy of farming, community and family bonding as a starting point for a story set in the present.

The Le Roux family played a significant role in the development of agriculture in the Klein Karoo and Doornkraal is living proof thereof.
